2. Fear

WITH OUR SECOND ISSUE WE SET ASIDE OUR FEARS. OUR CONTRIBUTORS GAVE RESPONSES TO A QUESTION. A QUESTION THAT ASKS “WHY DO WE FEAR?”. SEVEN OF THESE RESPONSES WERE ESSAYS, TWO WERE FASHION EDITORIALS AND ONE WAS A SPEECH GIVEN AT OUR LAUNCH PARTY IN THE ROYAL SOCIETY OF ANTIQUARIES ON DUBLIN’S MERRION SQUARE. WE CONFIDENTLY GREW OUR PAGE COUNT, PAPER WEIGHT AND STOCKISTS.

THE PUBLICATION

"Much of what we fear are those things we hide away. Engaging with these things removes their power to control us. So much of what that power is is the power to keep us silent. The power to define how we live our lives by influencing the issues we are willing to deal with."

The Event

"For as long as I can remember I have had an insatiable interest in fashion, it was a hunger. Predominately because I felt that it was a world and a domain I wasn't allowed enter. I wasn't model height or model size and... I could have decided its not for me."
